Failure of paint to dry to a smooth film, resulting in unsightly brush and roller marks after the paint dries.

Causes:

• Uneven Putty Thickness Underneath
• Patchwork (application of additional paint to ‘touch up’ partially dried painted areas)
• Uneven Brushing
• Poor Lapping

Solution:

• Prepare a smooth base.
• Avoid patchwork, preferably coat the whole wall. Patch when painted surface is dried.
• Brushing in one direction.
